Terms, refunds and cancellations

Effective October 7, 2026.

Booking and payment

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit confirms your date. The balance is due by the date on your invoice.
  • Cards carry a 3% processing fee. Bank transfer (ACH) is free.
  • We keep a card on file for overtime, damage, or extras used on the day, and tell you before charging it.
  • A signed rental agreement or quote with different terms wins over this page.

Cancellations

  • More than 7 days before: full refund, minus the deposit.
  • 48 hours to 7 days before: 50% refund, minus the deposit.
  • Less than 48 hours before: no refund.
  • Need a new date? One free move with 7+ days notice, to a date within 60 days.
  • If we cancel, you choose a full refund or a new date.
  • Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.

On the day

  • Overtime after a 30-minute grace period is 1.5 times your hourly rate, in 30-minute blocks.
  • Leave the room as you found it. Damage or missing gear is charged to the card on file.

Event tickets

  • No refunds unless we cancel or move the event.
  • Can't make it? Give your ticket to a friend. Email studio@archival.la with their name.

Other

  • Peerspace, Giggster and DICE bookings follow that platform’s policy.
  • Your information is covered by our privacy policy.
  • California law applies.
